CSAV Foundation and Padre André Coindre School Inaugurate New Playground for Preschool and Elementary Levels
The initiative will benefit approximately 150 students in the early educational levels, with a renovated space dedicated to recreation and leisure.

San Antonio, April 2025. | A completely renovated playground for Preschool and Elementary levels is the new project promoted by the Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores Foundation (CSAV Foundation), in conjunction with the Padre André Coindre Elementary School of San Antonio. New flooring and wall coverings, a shade structure, improvements to rainwater drainage, and murals on walls and the ground are part of the works that allowed for the renovation of this space, which will benefit nearly 150 students and the school community.
The president of the CSAV Foundation, Oscar Hasbún, said that “today we take a new step in this joint work that focuses on the school community of San Antonio. With this new space, we hope to continue fostering comprehensive development from an early age, so that boys and girls can acquire skills and tools for their future.”
For Maximiliano Miranda, Municipal Director of Education, he indicated: “Our gratitude to the CSAV Foundation because this is a contribution made by a private entity to a public institution, and that obviously must be acknowledged. We are very grateful to receive this space, because ultimately it is the families of our most vulnerable children within the commune, specifically from the Altos de Bellavista sector, who will have a better place to develop and share with their classmates.”
For Congresswoman Camila Rojas, she stated that: “We must believe in and put public education at the center. I recognize the importance of what the CSAV Foundation is doing, as well as what the teachers, education assistants, and of course the role played by parents who believe in public education and put children at the center, are doing.”
The inauguration ceremony was attended by municipal authorities, parliamentarians, representatives from the business world, and members of the school community. During the event, some of the projects that the CSAV Foundation has developed in alliance with the school were shared.
Since 2022, the Foundation has promoted significant improvements in the school’s infrastructure, such as a modern multi-sports court and a completely renovated gymnasium. These spaces have not only provided students and teachers with the opportunity to develop a wide range of sports and cultural activities, but have also become meeting points open to the entire community of the port city.
